In today’s epic Seattle travel vlog, Eric, Beth, and Devin are taking you on the ultimate land-and-sea tour of the Emerald City. We start our morning heading down to Pier 55 on the historic Seattle Waterfront to board the legendary Argosy Harbor Cruise. If you want the absolute best panoramic views of the Seattle skyline, taking a boat tour of Elliott Bay is the way to do it. As we set sail on the Puget Sound, we’re treated to breathtaking, unobstructed views of the city’s skyline, including the towering Space Needle and the Great Wheel. But the views don't stop there! The Argosy Cruise offers an incredible vantage point of the Olympic Mountains and the Cascade Mountain Range, and if you’re lucky with the weather like we were, you get the perfect photo op of the majestic Mount Rainier looming in the distance. Our local guide gave us a fascinating, fully narrated tour covering Seattle’s rich maritime history. We got an up-close, behind-the-scenes look at the massive container ships and one of the West Coast's busiest, largest shipping terminals. Whether you want to relax inside with a drink from the full-service bar (which serves local beer, wine, and cocktails) or head up to the open-air top deck for that crisp Pacific Northwest breeze, the Argosy Cruise is simply the best sightseeing boat tour in Seattle. We even spotted a few sea lions basking near the docks, which is a common sight in the harbor! It truly gives you a whole new perspective on the city that you just cannot get from walking downtown. After an hour of soaking in the unbelievable sights of the Seattle Harbor, we worked up quite an appetite. So, we left the waterfront and headed straight to the vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood to visit a Pacific Northwest legend: Voodoo Doughnuts! Famous for their quirky pink boxes, loud decor, and wild, out-of-the-box flavor combinations, Voodoo Doughnuts is an absolute foodie's paradise. Eric, Beth, and Devin decided to go all out and do a massive taste test of their most popular, highly-rated doughnuts. Watch as we try the iconic Voodoo Doll doughnut, a raised yeast doughnut filled with sweet raspberry jelly, topped with chocolate frosting, and stabbed with a signature pretzel stake. We also sink our teeth into the legendary Bacon Maple Bar—a raised yeast doughnut with maple frosting and actual bacon on top—a perfect sweet-and-savory combination that helped put Voodoo on the map! Of course, we couldn't resist the Homer (a strawberry-flavored frosted ring covered in colorful sprinkles that looks like it came straight out of your favorite cartoon) and the classic Portland Cream. We also debate which got the better bite: the massive Apple Fritter (fried dough packed with apple chunks and cinnamon) or the Old Dirty Bastard (ODB), which is heavily loaded with chocolate frosting, crushed chocolate cream-filled cookies, and a hearty peanut butter drizzle.
