Today we're checking into the beautiful Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, heading to Walmart for a little Florida shopping trip and having an honest conversation about how we afford our Disney World holidays. One of the biggest reasons we're able to enjoy regular Disney holidays is a decision I made back in 2021 when I purchased Disney Vacation Club (DVC). DISNEY VACATION CLUB – WAS IT WORTH BUYING? Back in 2021, I made the decision to purchase Disney Vacation Club because I knew Disney World was somewhere we wanted to keep visiting for years to come. Disney Vacation Club is Disney's vacation ownership programme, allowing members to use points towards stays at Disney Vacation Club resorts. There are upfront and ongoing costs involved, so it's certainly not a free holiday! However, for us, buying DVC was about planning ahead and finding a way to make our future Disney World holidays more manageable. In today's vlog, I explain why I made that decision, how Disney Vacation Club fits into the way we travel and why I believe it was worth considering for our family. CHECKING INTO DISNEY'S GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT! We're also checking into the stunning Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa at Walt Disney World! Located near Magic Kingdom, the Grand Floridian is one of Disney World's most iconic luxury hotels, and we're incredibly excited to be staying here. We love experiencing different Disney World resorts, and being able to enjoy stays like this is one of the reasons we wanted to explore Disney Vacation Club in the first place. FLORIDA WALMART SHOPPING! Of course, no Florida holiday would be complete without a trip to Walmart! We're having a wander around Walmart in Orlando, checking out the American food, snacks and everything else that makes a Florida supermarket trip so much fun! HOW EXPENSIVE IS DISNEY WORLD REALLY? Disney World holidays certainly aren't cheap, especially when you're travelling from the UK. Between flights, accommodation, park tickets, food and spending money, the costs can quickly add up. But does visiting Disney World regularly mean you have to be wealthy? We're sharing our own experiences, the choices we've made and why planning ahead has played such a big part in making our Disney holidays possible.
