Barbados surprised us — and we had zero plans when we stepped off the ship. Fair warning: this pier is one of the longest we've ever walked, over a half mile before you even hit the taxi stand. Carlisle Bay was completely packed with tour buses, so we pivoted and took a $5 cab to Brandon's Beach instead. It was a local vibe, nearly empty, and honestly way better. Two chairs and an umbrella ran us $20, and the beach had facilities, a foot wash, food, drinks, and even a water park. We walked back to the ship in about 36 minutes, passed by where Rihanna grew up, and strolled along the seawall with views of the waves.
