Has YouTube Turned Our Cruises Into WORK? | One Year of Cruise Vlogging
Well, we've officially been doing this YouTube thing for a year now. And somehow, Steph hasn't fired me as her cameraman yet. A year ago, we posted our very first video explaining why we wanted to start sharing our cruises. Four filmed cruises later, we're still here, still figuring things out, and apparently still finding reasons to book another cruise. But something interesting happened on our latest cruise. People started asking us whether filming our vacations has turned cruising into work. And the funny thing is, Steph and I don't exactly have the same answer. We've always been a little different when it comes to relaxing. Steph loves living in the moment, while I'm usually thinking about what I can do next. Somehow, creating these videos has given us both something we enjoy, even if we enjoy it for completely different reasons. So we figured we'd sit down, have a chat, and share what this first year has been like. Why we started, what we've learned, and why we're still having fun doing it. We also get into something a little more personal, especially with this video being recorded on World Mental Health Day. And yes, I might have slipped in a little announcement about something I've been working on outside of cruising. If you've been watching our adventures, commenting, or even stopped to say hello on a ship, thank you. It's pretty cool knowing people actually enjoy watching us wander around cruise ships and occasionally argue about absolutely nothing. Thanks for unpacking with us!
