MSC WORLD EUROPA | MESSINA, SICILY… OUR FAILED PORT DAY! 😬 | SECRET SPEAKEASY 🍸

Welcome back to another day onboard the incredible MSC World Europa! Today we arrive in Messina, Sicily, and unfortunately… this one didn’t quite go to plan! 😂 Looking back, we definitely didn’t plan our port day properly and really wish we’d booked an excursion to explore more of Sicily. We headed off the ship to have a wander around Messina, but if we’re being completely honest, we came away feeling a little disappointed with our day. We’re pretty sure this was more down to our lack of planning than Sicily itself! 🙈 Sometimes travel days just don’t work out the way you imagine, and this was definitely one of those occasions. Lesson learned: BOOK THE EXCURSION! 😂 Thankfully, the day got MUCH better once we were back onboard MSC World Europa! 🍹✨ That evening we met up with friends and made another visit to the ship’s secret onboard speakeasy — and it ended up being one of the best nights of the cruise! 🍸🥂 Amazing cocktails, lots of laughs and brilliant company completely turned the day around.
