Cruising New England & Canada in Fall on a brand new luxury ship. Does Oceania Allura deliver? Part2
🇨🇦 CANADA & NEW ENGLAND CRUISE | Part 2: Halifax to Montreal aboard Oceania Allura Part two of our 11-night amble up the coast, in which two people who continue to describe themselves — without a shred of supporting evidence — as the world's greatest cruise vloggers point a camera at some of the finest scenery in Atlantic Canada, and then talk mostly about lunch. This leg takes us from Nova Scotia all the way up the St Lawrence to Montreal, and it's a good one. We start in Halifax, walking the harbour boardwalk and hauling ourselves up to the star-shaped Citadel. It's also where the tone goes quiet for a moment: in 1917 this harbour saw the largest man-made explosion the world had known before the atomic age — which is why, every December to this day, Nova Scotia still sends Boston a Christmas tree to say thank you for the help. Then Sydney, Cape Breton, home to the Big Fiddle: sixty feet of solid steel weighing ten tonnes, which is very impressive and completely unplayable. A sea day follows — the serious, disciplined work of doing absolutely nothing at twenty knots — before we sail into Saguenay, keeping an optimistic eye out for the beluga whales that patrol the fjord like small, cheerful ghosts. Québec City is the showstopper: the Château Frontenac (officially the most photographed hotel on Earth, according to Guinness), a poutine we felt was medically necessary, the Breakneck Stairs (no broken necks on record, we're pleased to report), and Montmorency Falls — 83 metres tall, a full 30 metres higher than Niagara, and 487 steps that we, naturally, climbed in the wrong order. We finish in Montreal with crisp air, a stroll through the Old Port, and the quiet melancholy of packing a suitcase. Thanks for coming along. It genuinely means the world. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 00:00 - Intro 01:44 - Halifax 04:54 - Sydney & the Big Fiddle 07:03 - Panache Cruises Ad 08:01 - Saguenay 10:30 - Quebec City & Montmorency Falls 14:08 – Montreal & goodbye 👍 If you enjoyed this, do like and subscribe — it helps more than you'd think, and validates our wildly inaccurate job title. #oceaniaallura #oceania #cruise #cruisevlog #novascotia #halifax #capebreton #saguenay #quebeccity #montreal #canadacruise #newenglandcruise #travelvlog #stlawrence DO YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS SHIP, CRUISE LINE OR VOYAGE?
