Planning a 7-day northbound Alaska cruise on the Island Princess? In this full review, I’m breaking down everything from our Mini-Suite cabin (C226) and ship amenities to dining package mistakes, Glacier Day hacks, and custom port excursions in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Anchorage! After 20+ cruises (and 5 with Princess), I wanted to do this Alaska trip differently. Instead of standard cruise ship tours, we explored local dive bars, shore fishing spots, microbreweries, UTV adventures, and amazing local food. What we cover in this video: Ship Overview & Layout: Is the older Coral-class layout still worth booking? We look at the foyer, gym, internet cafe, and self-serve laundromats. Mini-Suite C226 Tour: Detailed walk-through, storage space, electrical setup tips, and balcony view analysis. Drink Packages & Dining: Why I regretted skipping the Princess Premier package (and a look inside the Good Spirits Bar & Sabatini’s). Vancouver Pre-Cruise: Hotel tips, Stanley Park, Gufffo's Cafe's famous cubed croissant Port Excursions & Local Eats: Ketichan: UTV touring in Ketchikan (Kawanti Adventures), Juneau: Shore salmon fishing & bubble-net feeding whales - plus Harbor Mountain Brewing, and the BEST halibut tacos at The Hangar on the Wharf. Skagway: Fast Ocean Raft Anchorage: Alaska Helicopter Heli-Paddle Tour...MOST AMAZING TOUR EVER TAKEN!! Plus Salmon Berry's Turnagain Tour to end an epic trip! #alaskacruise #cruise #cruiseship #cruisereview #travel
