Cruise Swaps Bahamas for Canada After Storm, Vision of the Seas Rerouted, and France Unrest Hits P&O
P&O Cruises has changed three ports on its ship Iona, skipping Le Havre over safety concerns as protests and civil unrest grow in France, and reshuffling Spanish stops instead. Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas has been rerouted to Saint John, Canada because of dangerous weather near Bermuda, but guests won’t be allowed off the ship during the overnight stop, with onboard credit offered to compensate. And Oasis of the Seas has had its entire itinerary flipped by a developing East Coast storm, swapping Florida and the Bahamas for Halifax, with guests told to pack warmer clothes and offered up to $600 credit plus a 50 percent future cruise credit.
