Did We Get Lucky with Our GTY Cabin? Liberty of the Seas Cabin 1530
We booked a guarantee balcony cabin on Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas, which meant we had no idea where we'd end up. Then, just 30 days before sailing, we were allocated cabin 1530, a Spacious Ocean View Balcony cabin right at the very front of the ship. At 233 square feet, it's considerably larger than a standard balcony cabin, and the balcony is surprisingly spacious too. But there was a catch: we're on Deck 10, directly underneath the fitness centre and right at the front of the ship. So before booking a cabin like this, I had three big questions: • Would we feel a lot of movement crossing the Bay of Biscay? • Would being right at the front make getting around the ship a pain? • Would we be woken up by the fitness centre above us? In this video, I'll give you a full tour of cabin 1530, including the storage, bathroom, sofa, vanity, plugs, mini-fridge, TV, bed and balcony. Then I'll give you my honest verdict after eight days onboard. I'll also explain why we booked a GTY cabin in the first place, whether we'd do it again, and why we were very happy with the cabin Royal Caribbean allocated to us.
