As of 5/1/26, major airlines changed rules for traveling with portable power banks: After a rise in lithium-ion battery incidents on flights, American Airlines and Delta now limit passengers to two portable chargers each, rated 100 watt-hours or less. Southwest is stricter, with only one charger allowed. Also, on American, your power bank cannot go in the overhead bin. The one rule that isn’t changing? Power banks always go in your carry-on — never your checked bag. Bottom line, check with your air carrier for specific battery restrictions before traveling. #airtravel #newtravel #travelnews __________ Welcome to Nicely Travel, where you'll explore fine hotels and cruises—and learn vacation hacks from a travel advisor along the way.
