Herman Cruise Terminal opened in 2014. Ships can plug into the Port’s 12-megawatt shore power system to receive the cleanest source of power. The terminal is available as an event space during non-cruise days. Part of the Metro Events portfolio, Pier 27 is a great event space for corporate, social, and fundraising events, as well as conferences and more. Pier 27 offers indoor and outdoor event spaces with amazing views of the San Francisco skyline and the Bay Bridge, accommodating 100 to 3,000 guests. Cruise Terminal Plaza is 2.5 acres of open space outside the James R. Herman Cruise Terminal at Pier 27. The plaza has a large lawn with benches for relaxing and watching cruise ships as they visit the waterfront. Signs around the park tell the stories of prominent cruise ships that have visited the Port of San Francisco.
