Celebrity Ascent is the fourth ship in Celebrity's Edge-class, at just over 141,000 gross tons and around 3,200 guests at double occupancy. She's a large ship, but nowhere near today's biggest megaships. What makes the Edge-class different is that Celebrity didn't just build a bigger conventional ship — the Magic Carpet, outward-facing design, Infinite Veranda cabins, and The Retreat suite complex are genuinely different ideas.
