Our day in Cádiz, Spain, didn't go quite as planned, but sometimes changing your plans leads to one of the nicest days of a cruise! Hi there! This is Allison with Let's Go! Travel Tips! Today is October 17, 2026, Cruise Date 12 of our 50-day Grand Mediterranean Odyssey aboard Princess Cruises' Island Princess. Gordon and I had originally planned to visit Seville, Spain, while our ship was docked in Cádiz. But we decided to change our plans and spend the day exploring Cádiz instead. And we're so glad we did! We enjoyed walking through the beautiful streets, visiting the magnificent Cádiz Cathedral, stopping for some delicious gelato, and spending time with members of our Let's Go! Family. We're also sharing what we heard from fellow passengers who did travel to Seville. Some encountered difficulties with attraction tickets, while others told us that a shore excursion they believed would be private turned out to be quite different from what they expected. It's a good reminder to understand exactly what's included when booking shore excursions, particularly when traveling a considerable distance from the cruise port. We also have a follow-up on Princess Cruises' International Café hours, including reports from passengers aboard Sapphire Princess and Regal Princess. In today's video: - Why we changed our plans to visit Seville - Exploring Cádiz on our own - Visiting Cádiz Cathedral - Enjoying local food and time with our Let's Go! Family - Lessons from other passengers' Seville excursions - An update on Princess International Café hours Have you ever changed your shore excursion plans and ended up having a better day than you expected?
