We're sailing the Carnival Freedom for 14 days across the Atlantic from Port Canaveral, Florida to Barcelona, Spain — but before heading to Europe, we're getting our first look at the ship AND Carnival's new private destination, Celebration Key! In this video, we're sharing our honest first impressions of the Carnival Freedom before she heads to Europe for refurbishment. We check out our cabin, test the Starlink WiFi, explore the buffet and pool decks, visit the adults-only Serenity area, and take a look at some of the shopping and public spaces around the ship. Then we arrive at Celebration Key in the Bahamas — and this might have been the biggest surprise of the day. We'd heard plenty about Carnival's new destination, but our experience was fantastic. There were virtually no crowds, we had easy access to the pools and beaches, and we even managed to grab an amazing spot at the swing bar. But this isn't just another Caribbean cruise for us. We're using this 14-day transatlantic cruise as transportation to Europe as part of our life as full-time travelers and digital nomads. Instead of flying directly to Spain, we're spending two weeks slowly crossing the Atlantic while working remotely, adjusting to the time change and visiting a few destinations along the way.
