Don't Buy Princess Plus or Premier Until You Watch This (We Did the Real Math)
Princess Cruises just raised the prices on Princess Plus and Princess Premier by another $5 per person, per day, alongside major changes to standalone Wi-Fi pricing. In this episode of the Wake Report on Grab Your Bags Travel, we break down the itemized math on a 7-night sailing to see if Princess Plus and Premier are still worth the money—or if you're better off paying à la carte. Disclaimer: Everything in this video is for informational and entertainment purposes only. The math is based on prices I found as of Oct 1, 2026, including figures reported from Princess's notice to travel advisors, and some of those numbers came from third-party sources that may be out of date. Princess can change prices, inclusions, and rules at any time, so verify everything with Princess or your travel advisor before you buy. My examples use specific assumptions, like a seven-day cruise and a standard stateroom. Your own usage of drinks, Wi-Fi, dining, and excursions may be very different, and that can change whether a package is worth it for you Cruise Line Drink Calculator: https://blog.grabyourbagstravel.com/cruise-drink-package-calculator/ CHAPTERS: 0:00 - Princess Raises Package Prices (What Changed) 0:33 Explanation of Package Increase and Wifi Changes 3:57- Princess Plus: The Itemized Math Breakdown 8:00 - Princess Premier: High-End Math & Real Value 9:42 - Plus vs. Premier: Which One Should You Pick? 11:22 - Final Verdict & The Big Industry Shift Ahead Are you still planning to buy Plus or Premier on your next cruise, or are you skipping the packages?
