I paid $3,300 to cruise Norwegian Luna alone. Yes, $3,300 for one person sounds a little crazy. But Norwegian Luna may be one of the best cruise ships I’ve sailed as a solo traveler. Instead of a tiny Studio cabin, I booked a huge solo balcony with my own private balcony, full bathroom, and considerably more space. I still got access to the Studio Lounge, and Norwegian hosted solo meetups every night where I could meet other people, join a group dinner, or completely do my own thing. And that’s what worked so well. When I wanted to be social, it was easy. When I wanted to disappear with a book for a few hours, that was easy too. The price was definitely the downside. But as a solo cruise experience? Norwegian Luna absolutely worked for me.
