Chicken Corners Tests our Off-Road Skills: Bonus: Drone Footage!
We begin our exploration of Moab with an awesome off-road trail, Chicken Corners. This full-day adventure takes us through scenic canyons, an epic mountain pass, into caves, and eventually across a narrow ledge above the Colorado River. Along the way, we put our Jeep, Ruby through her paces and find out if we truly are "chicken." Do we have what it takes to complete this challenging and amazing journey, or will we return to Moab with our tails between our legs in defeat? Tune in to find out... Chicken Corners Trail follows Kane Creek from the Colorado River up to a viewpoint across from Thelma and Louise Point. The route snakes past landmarks like Tombstone Rock, Birthing Scene Petroglyph, Funnel Arch and Captain Ahab/Hymasa. We also find several boondocking spots for the more adventurous RVer. We make a short stop to enjoy the views atop Hurrah Pass before we descend to Catacomb Rocks where we explore the Wind Caves. Then we complete the journey by inching our way along a very narrow ledge hundreds of feet above the Colorado River. We make several stops to fly the drone along the way so we can share this unique perspective with you as well. It's an incredible journey, and we're happy to share our adventures with all of you.
