When you cruise during hurricane season....
Sasha and John sharing their experience with the wind and hurricane weather. We were safe the whole cruise, Carnival skipped Cabo San Lucas so we could “beat” the hurricane. Sailing during hurricane season can mean different things. Bad weather can happen anytime of year, not just during hurricane season. Many times you may run into rocky waters or high winds and rain, as the cruise ship tries to avoid the hurricane. You can also sail for a lot less if you are willing to sail during this time. But is it worth the lower fare? The worst scenario is that you spend all of that money only to go to cruise ports you do not want to visit- sometimes that is all you get. Maybe some on board credit will be offered but not always the case. So keep that in mind. Since cruises will go away from the storm, you could be spending 7 nights hanging out by Ensenada instead of going to the Mexican Riviera, or end up going to Halifax Nova Scotia instead of warm, Caribbean waters. As always, you can always use CNL Travel to help you decide which cruise is the right cruise for you!! http://CNLTravelPlanners.com #hurricane #hurricaneseason #cruiselife #cruisevacation #cruise
