20 Disney Cruise Tips You NEED To Know Before You Sail (2026)

If you have a Disney cruise booked, these are the 20 tips I want you to know before you board. I've sailed more than 40 cruise ships, including the Disney Dream, Disney Magic, and the Disney Wish and these are the questions first-time Disney Cruise Line guests ask me most often. We cover what to pack for a Disney cruise, how the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app works, the 2026 stateroom door rules, why magnetic hooks earn a spot in your suitcase, how Fish Extenders work, and what to expect from dining, embarkation day, and Disney's private islands. Whether you're sailing as a couple, with friends, or with kids, this video will help you plan your first Disney cruise in 2026 or 2027. 00:00: Intro 01:00: Book Shoulder Season 02:07: Book A Themed Sailing 03:02: Book Connecting Rooms 04:11: Final Payment Dates 05:33: Book The Nursery Early 06:43: Fly In The Day Before 07:13: Prohibited Items 08:22: Magnetic Hooks 09:05: Schedule Character Calls 10:09: Phone Data Plans 11:16: Carry-On Bags 12:21: Start Scheduling In The Terminal 12:53: Decorate Your Door Under The Rules 13:45: Waterslide Tips 14:58: Adult Activities 15:53: Deck Party Tips 16:47: Gratuities 17:28: Themed Lounges 18:11: Food Ordering 19:00: Formal Nights 20:40: Food Allergies 21:00: Private Islans Mentioned in the Video: Magnetic hooks: https://link.amazon/B09bEi3Ya Fish Extender: https://link.amazon/B00v8bqBH GigSky: https://plans.gigsky.com/6J3CSR/J8P3N/?source_id=DCLTIPS Other DCL Vids: Disney Magic Full Tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpDiL8-Io7Y Disney Wish Full Tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Rc3b1kXGZc&vl=en Disney Dream Full Tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXUN5jN8xB0 📌 Book your next cruise with my travel agency: https://jacksonjetsetting.com/book — quotes are free and I'm completely free to use.
