Wait... THIS is what a Disney Christmas cruise actually looks?!
Everything a Very Merrytime sailing actually includes, because the decorations are only the beginning 🎄🚢 ✨ 1. The tree lighting happens night one The atrium tree is the centerpiece of the whole ship, and it lights up the first night with Mickey, Minnie, and friends gathered around it. Do not schedule anything against it. ✨ 2. There is a life size gingerbread house A real, baked, life size gingerbread house in the atrium, plus garlands and wreaths on every deck. ✨ 3. The characters dress for it Holiday outfits you will not see in the parks, all sailing long. Minnie's red dress alone is worth the photo stop. ✨ 4. Mrs. Claus does storytime She reads to the little kids by the tree, and Santa meets on board too, with none of the mall line chaos. Calmer, warmer, better photos. ✨ 5. It snows on the pool deck Mickey and Minnie's Holiday Party brings everyone up on deck, and yes, it snows in the middle of the ocean. Florida snow, but the kids do not care. ✨ 6. Pack the matching pajamas The family photo in front of the tree in matching Christmas PJs is a Merrytime tradition for a reason. Pack them on purpose, not as an afterthought. The part nobody tells you: there is no Merrytime ticket to buy. If your sailing is a Very Merrytime sailing, all of this is already included in your fare. You are just choosing the dates. Very Merrytime runs November and December on all seven US based Disney ships this year, Destiny included. Planning one?
