A Cruise View Most People Never See – The Boot of Italy

Did you know cruise ships can sail right between the “boot” of Italy and the island of Sicily? During our Mediterranean cruise aboard the Norwegian Epic in May 2025, we had the unique opportunity to cruise through the Strait of Messina between mainland Italy and Sicily. Watching the towns, highways, mountains, and coastline pass by from our balcony was a unique experience and something we’ll remember.
