We made our decision… **WE'RE STILL GOING TO ASIA!** 🌏✈️🚢 https://www.youtube.com/@OurSecondJourney?sub_confirmation=1 After Royal Caribbean cancelled the second leg of our planned back-to-back cruise from Tokyo to Los Angeles, we seriously considered cancelling our entire Asia adventure. If you watched our previous video https://youtu.be/55MpYNSieWk you know why this was such a difficult decision. We had planned to fly from Newark to Singapore, cruise from Singapore to Tokyo, and then sail all the way home to Los Angeles. When the Tokyo-to-Los Angeles cruise was cancelled, our entire plan changed. But after considering the alternatives, we decided that we're NOT giving up on this dream. Instead, we've created a completely new itinerary — and we're actually pretty excited about it! ### 🇸🇬 Singapore → 🇯🇵 Tokyo → 🇯🇵 8 Days in Japan → 🇺🇸 Alaska Here's our new plan: 🚢 **Navigator of the Seas** — We'll still take our original cruise from Singapore to Tokyo. 🇯🇵 **8 Days in Tokyo** — Rather than simply passing through Japan, we'll now have eight full days to explore Tokyo and experience more of Japan. 🚢 **Azamara Pursuit** — We'll then board Azamara Pursuit in Tokyo for a completely different kind of cruise experience as we sail across the Pacific toward Alaska. 🇺🇸 **Alaska** — Our journey will take us to Kodiak, Seward, Whittier and Anchorage — four Alaska destinations we've never visited before. And there are four big reasons we decided to keep going. **1️⃣ We're getting older.** We've always wanted to see Asia, and we realized that this bucket-list trip may become even more difficult to accomplish in the future. **2️⃣ We get MORE time in Japan.** What started as a problem actually gave us the opportunity to spend eight days in Tokyo and see much more of Japan. **3️⃣ We've always wanted to experience a luxury cruise line.** This gives us the chance to experience Azamara and see how a luxury/small-ship cruise compares with the larger cruise lines we've traveled with. **4️⃣ We get to explore a completely new side of Alaska.** We've always said we wanted to return to Alaska, and now we'll be visiting Kodiak, Seward, Whittier and Anchorage — places we haven't experienced before. So what started as a huge disappointment may actually turn into an even better adventure. This is the next chapter of our journey — and we're excited to take you along with us!
