Cruise news today. An oil spill in Galveston Harbor disrupted cruise operations this week. Late Tuesday night, a Dutch cargo ship struck Pier 32, releasing fuel oil and prompting the closure of part of the Galveston Ship Channel. The Regal Princess was delayed 24 hours and had to cancel its stop in Cozumel. Carnival Breeze avoided delay by switching to a different terminal. A crew member aboard P&O Cruises’ Arvia died Sunday in an elevator shaft accident, two days into a transatlantic sailing from Southampton to Barbados.
