I Didn’t Know I Was an Expedition Cruiser | From Galápagos to the ACTA Main Stage

Fourteen years ago, I travelled to the Galápagos without realizing I was an expedition cruiser. I discovered that I loved the wildlife, science, learning and possibility of seeing something unexpected every day. Most of all, I loved travelling where the destination and natural world mattered more than the ship taking me there. Last week, that journey came full circle when I stood on the main stage at the ACTA Eastern Canada Travel Industry Summit in Toronto, wearing my National Geographic Antarctica parka and talking about expedition cruising. ❤️ Expedition travel isn’t only Antarctica. It can be the Galápagos, Greenland, Iceland, Alaska, the Amazon, Canada’s Arctic, Newfoundland and beyond.
