If you’re travelling from the UK and filling in the new EES (Entry/Exit System) form, you might be confused by the question: “Are you a European citizen?” ⚠️ Important: UK passport holders must answer NO. Even though the UK is part of the European continent, it is not part of the EU. We are Europeans geographically, we are not part of Europe politically. The term "European" is sometimes used in a political context to refer to membership in the European Union....and it is in the case of EES. Maybe the question would have been less ambiguous if it had asked "Are you a member of the EU" 🤷 This mistake could cause delays or issues at border control.
