Skagway, Alaska! Day 5 of our Alaska Cruise! Lower Dewey Lake Trail!

Welcome back to another video. This weeks video is Day 5 Skagway, Alaska. In this video you will see us get off the ship and head into town to look for bear spray because you were going hiking but found out that that trail is a pretty active trail and they said we would t need any for that trail. Luckily we didn’t see any bears on this trip. You then see us walk around the town for a few minutes as we make our way to the entry point for the Lower Dewey Lake Trail. This trail is very steep getting up the mountain but once you get to the top it’s mostly level except for some areas but wasn’t too bad. It’s was definitely worth the hike up because once you get to the top there are spectacular views of the lake and mountains. It was so quiet and peaceful as we were walking around. I would recommend this hike the next time you’re in Skagway if you think you can do it. It was amazing. You then see us head back into town and head over to Skagway Brewing Company to grab some lunch. We waited about 30 mins but you can go wait at a bar that they have for waiting while you wait for your table. I got the fish and chips which I got just about everywhere on this trip and by far the best that I had. My wife got the Philly cheese steak and onion rings and it was pretty amazing as well. Can’t go wrong with either choice. We then head to Klondike DoughBoy for some fry bread and it was pretty good. We then just decide to head back to the ship because it was extremely windy in town with about 60 -70 mph winds winds. We then go to Giovanni’s for a specialty dining and it didn’t disappoint. It’s always very good when we go to that restaurant. We then just have a nice evening on our balcony watching the mountains pass by. We are Justin and Micah and we are WITH JUICE. Started cruising in 2024 and fell in love with it.
