So I keep showing what the kids did on our 32 day worldschooling cruise but I’m pretty sure that we as adults had even more fun while the kids were busy socializing! I mean shirts don’t fly off for nothing, right? In all seriousness, for many families, especially solo traveling moms, this was the first time they had been without kids attached to their hip for many years. Couples got alone time, parents got a much needed break, moms got peace and quiet, we enjoyed each others’ company and got a chance to do some crazy things, like take as many items of clothing off as we could…. or get all 40 songs right at the 90s music trivia. Hindsight 20/20 we should have done more of this but I think everyone was just really happy to also make this a relaxing trip as well. When food, plans, activities, kids and social interactions are all taken care of, suddenly you realize just how much you needed a break and having decisions that are no harder than whether to order steak or lobster at dinner tonight.
