Know THIS Before Royal Beach Club Cozumel Opens 2026
Royal Caribbean is opening a new beach club in Cozumel, and unlike CocoCay, this one is going to cost you. The Royal Beach Club Cozumel is booked as an excursion, not a free port stop. That means an extra charge on top of your cruise fare, and on top of your drink package if you already bought one. Royal Caribbean has not published pricing yet, but we walk through what Royal Beach Club Paradise Island charges right now so you can get a realistic idea of what to budget: $129 for guests 13 and up with dining and non alcoholic drinks, $109 for kids 4 to 12, and $169 for the open bar pass for guests 21 and up. In this video we cover what is actually included (loungers, umbrellas, towels, Wi-Fi, lockers, and round trip transportation from the port), what the club looks like based on the renderings, the family zones versus the adults only areas, and the food, which leans into real Mexican dishes instead of the usual burgers. We also get into the stuff people miss. It is capped capacity, which is great news if you have ever pulled into Perfect Day on a packed sea day. It is Royal Caribbean guests only. Locals can use the beach but not the amenities. It is twice the size of Paradise Island. And the target opening is December 31st with a New Year's Eve event, which means if you are sailing before that, plan on it not being ready, and remember that ports get missed for weather and medical diversions all the time. Then the real question: book it or skip it? We give you our honest answer, plus the Cozumel beach clubs we would look at instead, including Mr. Sanchos at around $80 US all inclusive, Playa Mia, Chankanaab, and Palancar. Most of them run shuttles from the cruise terminal and you have a full day in port, so you have more options than you think. Are you team book it or team skip it?
