🎰 IT’S NOT JUST CARNIVAL’S LOYALTY PROGRAM… A lot of people are talking about Carnival’s loyalty changes, but there’s another downgrade longtime Carnival cruisers are noticing: the VIFP casino offers just aren’t what they used to be. We’re still spending and playing about the same amount in the casino, but over the past year our offers have dropped from suites on desirable ships to mostly balcony or interior cabins on a limited selection of ships—often ships we wouldn’t normally choose. The better cabins are disappearing. The better ships are disappearing. But the amount Carnival expects us to play certainly hasn’t changed. We’ve already booked several future Carnival cruises using older offers, but if those weren’t already on the calendar, we honestly wouldn’t be choosing Carnival right now. Other cruise lines are giving us more reasons to take our vacation dollars elsewhere. Carnival may still be sending out “free cruise” offers—but when the cabin quality and ship choices keep getting worse, how valuable is that offer really?
