We booked the cheapest cabin on P&O Arvia.
We saved over £1,000 on our two week Caribbean cruise with P&O Cruises on their largest and newest ship Arvia. Built specifically for the UK market and holding over 5,500 passengers we decided on an inside cabin. No windows and no balcony with only the ships webcam on the in cabin TV to show us the outside world, was it worth the savings? P&O have two main price points when booking a cruise. Saver or Select. Saver means you can choose a cabin category, inside, outside, balcony, deluxe balcony, mini suite or suite. But you have no idea what number cabin or where the cabin will be. This will be allocated close to your cruise and will be in less favourable locations as it will be from whatever cabins that haven’t already been booked. If you want a specific cabin you have to book early and book a Select price. The cost of your cruise can almost double with this option! To get our cheapest cabin we booked Saver & inside. We were allocated 10233 - an inside cabin on deck 10 forward. Would you take the gamble or do you need a balcony?
