Lost luggage tips #shorts
✈️ AIRLINE LOST YOUR LUGGAGE BEFORE YOUR OVERSEAS CRUISE? HERE’S WHAT TO DO! 🧳🚢 Few things can put a damper on an overseas cruise vacation faster than arriving in Europe and discovering your checked luggage didn’t arrive with you. Your cruise ship may be leaving soon—and your suitcase could still be thousands of miles away! So what should you do when an airline loses or delays your luggage before a cruise? First, report the missing bag to the airline immediately before leaving the airport. Get a baggage claim or tracking number and make sure the airline has your correct phone number, email address, hotel information, cruise ship name, itinerary, and upcoming ports. Then stay in regular contact with the airline. This becomes especially important once your cruise starts moving from city to city or port to port. The airline needs to know where you’ll be so they have the best opportunity to reunite you with your luggage. This is also where travel insurance can become extremely valuable. Depending on your specific policy, baggage-delay coverage may reimburse you for reasonable essential purchases such as clothing and toiletries while you wait. Baggage-loss coverage may provide additional protection if the suitcase is ultimately declared lost. Save every receipt and carefully review your policy’s limits, waiting periods, exclusions, and documentation requirements. And don’t forget about possible benefits from the credit card you used to purchase your airfare or cruise. One of my biggest cruise travel tips: Pack medications, important documents, electronics, chargers, valuables and at least one change of clothes in your carry-on. If you’re traveling internationally to meet a cruise, consider arriving at least a day or two early. Have you ever had an airline lose your luggage before a cruise?
