Hawaii Cruise Day 6: Storm Cancels Hilo Port! Swimming in the Rain | Emerald Princess Vlog
Day 6 aboard the Emerald Princess on our 16-day Hawaii cruise turned into an unexpected adventure at sea! The morning started quietly with breakfast and catching the end of Zootopia playing outside on the big screen. After meeting up with Elaine and Skye (and getting distracted again by another atrium sale 😅), we finally made it to the Botticelli Dining Room for our first sit-down lunch, which turned into a relaxing two-hour meal. Later in the day the captain made an announcement that our stop in Hilo, Hawaii had been cancelled due to severe weather — thunderstorms, heavy rain, and winds over 50 mph. That means another sea day ahead! Despite the stormy conditions, we still found ways to enjoy the ship — playing cards by the pool, walking the outside promenade deck, and ending the night swimming in the rain and relaxing in the jacuzzi under the stormy skies. Cruise life always has surprises… and sometimes the best memories happen when plans change!
