Hello everyone, and welcome to Exploring with Cindy and Dan! Today marks our final port of call in the Hawaiian Islands: Nawiliwili in Kauai. We were able to spend two consecutive days on this beautiful island—so come along and join us on this unforgettable adventure! You wake up early on the Pride of America because you know you had arrived in Nawiliwili. By the time you head out on deck, the ship is already easing into Nawiliwili Harbor. It’s a smaller, quieter port compared to others on the itinerary, with green hills right up against the water and a laid-back feel from the start. Once the ship docks and you walk off, you immediately notice how simple everything is. Kauai, known as the Garden Isle, is the fourth largest Hawaiian island, covering about 553 square miles in the northern part of the island chain. Home to roughly 70,000 residents, most of the population lives around Lihue, the island’s main town. Kauai blends everyday island life with stunning natural features like the Na Pali Coast and Waimea Canyon.Less developed than Oahu, it offers a quieter atmosphere centered around nature, outdoor activities, and scenic landscapes.....
