If you’re cruising on Liberty of the Seas, these are the Liberty of the Seas mistakes to avoid before you sail. After spending nine nights onboard across two back-to-back cruises, I’m sharing the things that can save you time, money and frustration once you’re onboard. I’ll cover embarkation day mistakes, what to expect from Liberty of the Seas after the refit, dining and entertainment timings, Royal Caribbean upgrades, dynamic pricing, included food, packing for your cruise, what to do if you have a cabin problem, and why the atmosphere can feel very different depending on the length of your sailing. One mistake that’s particularly easy to make is assuming you need to buy all the extras Royal Caribbean offers. I used both The Key and Unlimited Dining on Liberty, and they worked well for what I wanted from that cruise, but that doesn’t mean everyone needs them. Dining is another area where it helps to know how Liberty works before you sail. Check whether you have fixed dining or My Time Dining, keep an eye on restaurant opening times, and remember that the Windjammer isn’t open continuously throughout the day.
