WOULD I EXPLORE PROGRESO THIS WAY AGAIN? Probably not—and that’s exactly why I’m sharing our experience! 👀 Welcome to Part 10 of my Margaritaville FAM Trip! 🚢🌴 We hopped on the shuttle into Progreso with no real plans and, to be completely transparent, the city itself wasn’t quite what we expected. But here’s the important part: that doesn’t mean there’s nothing worth experiencing in the Yucatán! There are beaches, cenotes, Mayan archaeological sites, and incredible experiences beyond the port. We really wanted to see Chichén Itzá, but with the travel time involved, we decided it wasn’t the right choice for this particular port day. If I visited Progreso again, I’d do one of two things: ✨ Plan an excursion ahead of time 🍹 OR stay near the port, grab a cold drink, find a swing, and RELAX! And sometimes…that second option is exactly what vacation calls for. 😂🌴 Plus, we met a giant lizard 🦎 and came back to the CUTEST towel puppy waiting in our room. 🐶❤️ 👇 Cruisers, I want to hear from you!
