After flying from Southern California to Seattle, we finally boarded the newest Princess ship and got our first real look at **Star Princess**. And since this was our first time on a Sphere Class ship, we went in almost completely blind—we intentionally avoided watching ship tours so we could experience it all for the first time along with you! One of the biggest questions for us was the **Sanctuary Collection**. Was the upgraded experience worth it? On embarkation day, we got our first look at the Sanctuary Club, private pool area, lounges, cabanas, wake views, snacks, drinks, and spa facilities. And we were already forming some opinions! We also explored more of the ship, checked out the Dome, found some fun Alaska-themed touches, watched Holland America’s Noordam sail away from Seattle, and enjoyed the incredible views around Puget Sound. And then came dinner at **Love by Britto**. We managed to get a reservation that had been completely sold out online, and the location turned out to be spectacular. We had an amazing wake view as we sailed away from Seattle—and some very interesting food along the way! But our first day wasn't all sunshine and blue skies. By the end of the night, the weather had changed dramatically. We went from an almost 80° day in Seattle to fog, rain and a very different view from our balcony.
