That’s Us in the Thumbnail… But It’s Not Our Story

That’s us in the thumbnail… but it’s definitely not our story. A large YouTube channel used our photo for a video about a couple supposedly living on a cruise ship for 13 years. Once people started asking us about it, we decided to look into the story, see what we could verify, and figure out how we wanted to respond. Do we report it? Ask them to remove the photo? Ignore it? Or do we just ride the wave? In this video, we explain what we found, why the story raised questions for us as people who actually live full-time on a residential cruise ship, and why we ultimately decided to use the attention to tell our real story instead. We moved aboard Villa Vie Odyssey in September 2024 and have been living and traveling the world from our cabin ever since. So yes, we really do live on a cruise ship — just not for 13 years, and definitely not for free. 😂 What would YOU do if another channel used your photo for a story that wasn’t about you? #LivingLifeOnACruise #ResidentialCruise #VillaVieOdyssey #CruiseLife #FullTimeCruise #CruiseShipLiving #VillaVieResidences
