I flew to France to see him in person, and then I interviewed Moritz Bächer, the Lab Director of Disney's Robotics Division in Zurich to find out how Imagineering actually pulled this off. I went into my interview with Moritz wanting to learn how one robot works. What I learned changed how I think about the future of robotic characters in Disney's parks.
