Was renting a golf cart in Key West actually worth it? After breakfast aboard Celebrity Silhouette, we head ashore and rent a golf cart to explore Key West independently. It has been seven or eight years since our last visit, so we spend the day rediscovering its colourful streets, historic neighbourhoods, Duval Street, Sloppy Joe’s and everything that makes this port so wonderfully quirky. Back aboard Celebrity Silhouette, our Concierge Class stateroom gives us access to a special sail-away gathering on the ship’s helipad—an incredible place to watch Key West disappear behind us. We finish the day with dinner at Tuscan Grille, Celebrity’s Italian steakhouse, followed by an evening of entertainment around the ship. Was the golf cart the right way to see Key West?
