Join Shane for a complete Carnival Adventure review as he answers the biggest question surrounding Carnival Cruise Line's Australian cruise ship: are the bad reviews actually fair? 👉 Search Carnival Adventure cruises: https://reserve.swblack.com.au/swift/cruise?siid=1180897&lang=7&cruiseline=1&destinationtype=All&ship=15443&sortColumn=departureDate&sortOrder=asc Carnival Adventure has become one of the most divisive cruise ships sailing from Australia. Some passengers love its relaxed atmosphere, family activities, crew and overall experience. Others criticise the ship's age, food, additional charges and the fact that it still feels more like Pacific Adventure than a traditional Carnival Fun Ship. Why is Carnival Adventure so controversial? The ship began life as Golden Princess, sailed for years as Pacific Adventure with P&O Cruises Australia, and joined the Carnival fleet in March 2025. It retains much of the former P&O experience while layering in Carnival entertainment and service — and reviews since the changeover have ranged from glowing to brutal. After spending three nights aboard Carnival Adventure with his family, Shane puts the ship through S.W. Black Travel's complete cruise ship review framework — the same categories used to assess every ship on this channel — before delivering a clear final verdict on our recommendation scale.
