I traveled to Bermuda the day before King Charles was scheduled to visit. St. George’s and the naval dockyard was buzzing with excitement in anticipation of the kings visit. I left the cruise ship after 11 am, as such, my options were limited. After speaking with a minibus driver, I decided to take the ferry and go to St. George’s. A minibus tour would cost me and my husband $70 per hour. The ferry costs $4.50 each way. I had to pay onboard because the ferry was leaving, as a result I paid $5. The ferry ride is roughly 35-45 minutes. After getting off the ferry, I went to the tourism office. Ms. Sylvia was helpful and nice. I purchased tokens for my return trip to the naval dockyard. I spent a couple of hours walking around St. George’s. To me, that was just enough time. You can do a tour as sidewalks ends are not available past Somer’s Garden.
