We Sailed NCL Aqua’s Haven TWICE… Here’s What We Really Think
Is the Haven on Norwegian Aqua worth the price? After sailing in the Haven on this ship twice, we're giving you our full tour and completely honest review — including what we absolutely love and what we think Norwegian Cruise Line needs to improve. In this video, we're taking you through the entire Haven experience on NCL Aqua, including the Haven lounge, concierge, Haven restaurant, private pool, sun deck, Haven elevators, accommodations, butler service, priority embarkation and debarkation, theater seating and some hidden Haven perks you may not know about. There is a LOT that we love about the Haven on Norwegian Aqua. The private elevators that run from Deck 6 all the way to Deck 16 are incredibly convenient, the accommodations are beautiful, butler service is a great perk, and the priority access on embarkation, debarkation and port days can make a huge difference. But the Haven isn't perfect. At full capacity, we found the Haven pool and sun deck to feel far too crowded, with multiple days where we couldn't find a single available chair. There's also a major design issue: there are no stairs connecting the Haven decks, meaning guests are completely dependent on the Haven elevators to move between areas. We experienced just how frustrating this could be during disembarkation. We'll also talk about: • Haven pool, sauna and ice room • Haven sun deck on Deck 17 • Haven hot tubs and 16+ sun deck • Haven restaurant and menu • Haven lounge and concierge • Butler service and afternoon treats • Twice-daily cabin service • Included Haven room service • Priority embarkation and port-day access • Priority disembarkation • Haven theater seating for Elements • The Haven's secret Aqua Slidecoaster access • Whether Haven guests can access Vibe Beach Club • What's included — and what still costs extra • Drink packages • Wi-Fi • Spa and thermal suite access • Crowding in the Haven • What NCL could improve We also experienced a frustrating Haven disembarkation on this sailing, including crowded elevators, congestion in the Haven lounge and a significant wait even after reaching Deck 6. Despite all of the issues we experienced, we would absolutely sail in the Haven on Norwegian Aqua again. We think the Haven offers a fantastic experience — but when you're paying a premium price, we also believe it's fair to expect a premium level of service and execution. HAVEN VS. Do Haven guests have access to Vibe Beach Club? We were able to access Vibe through the door on the Haven sun deck, but our Haven keys would not open the main Vibe entrance near Surfside Grill.
