Welcome to VoyagerTide77 Memories! This is one of my favourite memories from several years ago. It was the very first time I launched my little Nifty boat in New Zealand after receiving a wonderful Honda outboard engine as a gift from a very good friend from Japan. Like any first adventure, I was still learning. At one point, the engine stopped because I had forgotten to open the fuel tank air vent! Thankfully, it was an easy fix, and I continued enjoying a beautiful day cruising around the stunning Marlborough Sounds. I also tried fishing in a few different places without any luck, but something even more incredible happened. While quietly drifting near Ngakuta Bay, I had my very first close encounter with a pod of wild dolphins. They swam peacefully right past my boat, creating a memory I will never forget. Looking back at this footage reminds me why I love exploring New Zealand and recording these special moments. A huge thank you once again to our dear friend from Japan for such a generous gift. This little outboard made many unforgettable adventures possible.
