I spent 19 weeks at sea & this is what I noticed after being back on land for a week ⛰️🪲🌿🌻🌊🚢✨ 1. BUGS - i don't realize it until i'm home but they're really just not a thing on ships. In the past week I've had a moth flying around my room at night attracted to my phone light, ants on my beach chair, & a spider crawling out of my dresser drawer. (And it actually made me smile?) 2. SILENCE - it is deafening when falling asleep that first night. I got so used to the light hum and rattling of the cruise ship lulling me to sleep every night... (& I kind of miss it?) 3. SUNLIGHT - inside crew cabin means NO WINDOW. Which I appreciate onboard as a night owl working late & wanting a pitch black 'cave' in order to really sleep-in some days. But damn there's nothing like waking up to fresh, rejuvenating sunlight pouring into your room & a happy circadian rhythm. It really is the little things : like being able to run outside for a ' grass angel ' at ANYTIME OF THE DAY. 🫶🏼 #cruise #shiplife #landlife #grass #gratitude
