Project leaders explain why Puerto Williams works as the gateway to Antarctica for Silversea's Antarctica Fly Cruise, which flies guests from southern Chile and shortens the journey. The episode also covers a design inspired by the island's terrain and culture, with wood used throughout to reflect the natural surroundings. Because of the remote site, the hotel's rooms are built as modules. Each room is finished with its furniture at a factory in Mendoza, Argentina, then shipped to Chile and installed.
