For years Carnival was the sensible senior's choice, but something shifted in 2026, and cruiser after cruiser in my age group is quietly moving on. In this video I give you the honest picture — the steady drip of 2026 fee increases (the April gratuity rise, the drink-package jump, the 20% service charge), plus the louder, more crowded feel — and then the 3 lines seniors are choosing instead: Holland America for classic calm and live music, Celebrity for modern polish and food, and Viking for an adults-only, all-included serenity with no surprise charges. Many wonderful seniors still love Carnival — this is about finding the ship that fits the person you are today. A gentle, honest note: this is my opinion based on documented 2026 pricing changes and what I'm hearing from fellow cruisers — every line raised prices this year, and Carnival still has many happy guests. Prices and policies change; confirm current details with each cruise line. This channel is general travel information, not financial advice, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any cruise line.
