Carnival Cruise Line is introducing dynamic pricing for certain cruise packages, and I have to tell you, I think this is something all of us who love cruising need to pay attention to! Hi there! This is Allison with Let's Go! Travel Tips! Today is October 23, 2026, Cruise Date 18 of our 50-day Grand Mediterranean Odyssey aboard Princess Cruises' Island Princess. First, we're talking about Carnival's move toward dynamic pricing for optional cruise purchases, including beverage packages and other onboard extras. What does dynamic pricing mean? Why might the same package cost more on one sailing than another? And could we see more cruise lines adopting similar approaches? Royal Caribbean has used variable pricing for beverage packages for years, so the idea itself isn't entirely new. We're discussing what factors might affect pricing, why cruise lines are interested in this approach, and how passengers can decide whether a package is worth the cost.
