Join us for two more exciting day saboard Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Cruises’ newest Edge Series ship, as we explore more of this impressive vessel and arrive in beautiful Cozumel, Mexico. 🚢 In this episode we take a closer look at some of Celebrity Xcel’s popular spaces, including The Bazaar, Spice Café, the Grand Plaza, Oceanview Café, the Martini Bar, The Club, the shops, and the promenade deck. We also explore the ship’s four complimentary main dining restaurants: Cosmopolitan, Cyprus, Normandie, and Tuscan. Each restaurant has its own design, atmosphere, and culinary theme, but there’s also an important dining tip that many first-time Celebrity cruisers may not know. 🍽️ We enjoy some beautiful views from our Infinite Veranda, including a closer look at our partially obstructed view and the nearby Magic Carpet area. Along the way, we discover unexpected entertainment, live music, dancing, ship facts, exclusive Celebrity Xcel merchandise, and a few quiet corners with impressive wake views. 🌊 There are also glimpses of line dancing, Caribbean entertainment, shipboard activities, spontaneous performances at the Martini Bar, and a preview of the high-energy 254 West show in The Club. We’ll also visit the main theatre for a sneak peek at Chapters. 🎶💃 Oh and a show by rock tenor band REBEL, in the main theatre was a real treat. Then it’s time for a port day in Cozumel, Mexico. 🇲🇽 Watch as Celebrity Xcel arrives alongside other enormous cruise ships, including Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas. We take in the views from the pier, walk between the ships, and get an incredible perspective of just how massive these ships really are. For our Cozumel experience, we take part in a well-recommended excursion featuring Lucha Libre Mexican wrestling. 🤼♂️ We even ended up in part of the action! We’ll share a sample of the Lucha Libre show so you can decide whether this unique Cozumel excursion is something you would like to experience for yourself. It was a fun and different way to spend time in Cozumel, find out if we would recommend considering it if you’re looking for something beyond the usual beach day or shopping excursion. Lucha Libre experiences in Cozumel are commonly promoted as a combination of Mexican culture, theatrical wrestling, colourful costumes, and high-energy entertainment. Back onboard, we explore The Market at The Bazaar, take a look at the ship’s port-day atmosphere, and visit Café al Bacio for some coffee and sweet treats. ☕🍰 We also get a quick sneak peek inside Mosaic, a specialty restaurant we’ll visit more fully later in the cruise.
