Alaskan cruise glaciers, what you'll see, what you might not see
Most people cruise to Alaska because they want to see the glaciers, but not all glacier itineraries are created equal. The Hubbard glacier is usually only seen on select one way trips. The Dawes Glacier is often not seen by larger ships because they can’t get close enough due to the ice. And then Glacier Bay is limited by the number of ships per day and not all cruise lines go there. You cannot go wrong with a glacier itinerary, but it’s good to know what you’re dealing with going in.
