This Might Be the Smallest Royal Caribbean Ship I’ve Ever Sailed… | Rhapsody of the Seas
Join Sean aboard Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas for a seven-night Southern Caribbean cruise from San Juan, Puerto Rico, visiting St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. Martin, St. Lucia, and Barbados. In this Season 3 episode of Royal Cruisers, our full-length Let’s Cruise show, a fan of mega-ships discovers what a smaller ship has to offer. Rhapsody is the smallest Royal Caribbean ship I’ve sailed on, and I board unsure whether I’ll enjoy it. The bright interiors, ocean views, and forward-facing Windjammer quickly make an impression. My ocean-view cabin surprises me too, with the bed beneath the window and more storage than I expected. In St. Thomas, my planned catamaran excursion is canceled, so I switch to Magens Bay and the Skyride to Paradise Point. St. Croix brings a resort day at Carambola, where the beach, pool, and secluded setting become highlights of the trip. In St. Martin, I try the small-group Flavors of St. Martin foodie tour, offered as one of Royal Caribbean’s signature excursions on this sailing. Afterward, I revisit a waterfront spot introduced to me on an earlier private tour, with beautifully clear water beneath the pier. St. Lucia takes me out on a catamaran for snorkeling and coastal sightseeing, including views of the Pitons. In Barbados, a scenic drive leads to Harrison’s Cave and a look at the island’s underground formations. Between five consecutive port days, I visit Giovanni’s Table, Chops Grille and Izumi. The final sea day gives me time to slow down and enjoy Sushi & Sake before returning to San Juan. By the end, Rhapsody has changed my expectations. The sunlight and places to sit looking out at the ocean make this smaller ship a surprisingly enjoyable home for a week of island exploring. ⚓ CRUISE DETAILS Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas | Royal Caribbean Sailing: Seven-night Southern Caribbean cruise Departure and return: San Juan, Puerto Rico Port stops: St. Thomas • St. Croix • St. Martin • St. Lucia • Barbados Sea day: Day 7 Cabin: Ocean-view stateroom Traveling: Sean, sailing solo Show: Royal Cruisers | Season 3 — 2026 sailings This episode: My complete Rhapsody of the Seas sailing, filmed in 4K 📍 VIDEO CHAPTERS 00:00 Rhapsody of the Seas Cruise Introduction 00:36 San Juan Embarkation & First Impressions 01:59 Rhapsody of the Seas Ocean-View Cabin 02:19 Giovanni’s Table Dinner 04:12 St. Thomas Excursion Change 05:22 Magens Bay & Skyride to Paradise Point 08:04 Rhapsody of the Seas Chops Grille Dinner 08:58 St. Croix Carambola Resort Beach Day 13:01 Flavors of St. Martin Small-Group Foodie Tour 14:43 St. Martin Waterfront Views 16:12 St. Lucia Catamaran Cruise, Snorkeling & Pitons 18:44 Barbados Scenic Drive & Harrison’s Cave 21:58 Final Sea Day & Izumi Sushi and Sake 🛳️ EXPLORE MORE Watch more Royal Cruisers: Follow our Royal Caribbean adventures, with complete sailings organized by season and cruise year. https://www.youtube.com/show/VLPLGdHP0yyduEQlwvdidVu42zBE8GdHUTyN?sbp=QAE%253D Explore our Royal Caribbean ship tours: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGdHP0yyduETKFGP5mM1yu7fF4vfb3qKi Has a smaller cruise ship ever won you over?
